Holmegaard Værk Signage

The signs are made of metal and inspired by the work's original steel constructions. The industrial lines with fine powder coated surfaces in modern colors combine the rustic and the refined, the past and the present. Many of the place's original pipes, machines and steel surfaces have got theirs colors in the 1960s, and even whether the colors is faded over time, it has greatly inspired to the look Holmegaard Værk. Based on the location colors we have created a new and more modern palette where each color is presented in one clean clear, a toned down dust and a light clear shade. We designed "a set-of-3" signage allowing the visitor to go deeper into the context of the storytelling. At the same time it was a way to introduce color throughout the exhibition. Every room has its own unique color combination spray painted on the big plates of steel.
