The Story of Holmegaard

A colorful coffee table book telling the story of Holmegaard Glassworks. The book is the first comprehensive account of Denmark’s oldest glassworks, from its founding in 1825 to its place in Danish design history. Newly staged studio portraits of glass from Holmegaard’s production through the years are presented alongside the original hand-drawn designs that formed the basis for each piece, tracing the path from designer’s sketch to the craftsman’s finished glass. Across 200 pages, the book is richly illustrated with selected archive images from throughout Holmegaard’s history.
